New inclusive playground

The IPD Foundation supports an inclusive playground where all students can play and enjoy together without barriers.

18/11/2021

The IPD Foundation has joined a new project for an Inclusive Playground at the Sagrado Corazón de Chamartín School @fesbchamartin, which opened its doors to “integration” more than 36 years ago.
Over this time, hundreds of students with disabilities have learned and shared experiences with the rest of the students in an environment very similar to the one they will encounter in their future professional lives. Integration has since evolved into “inclusion,” and, in line with the school’s commitment to respond to everyone’s needs, it became clear that inclusion also had to extend to leisure and free play moments during recess.

For this reason, the IPD Foundation wanted to take part and contribute to providing an inclusive playground where all students can play without barriers, including children with motor difficulties or those who use wheelchairs.
