The IPD Foundation has collaborated with the special education school Nuestra Señora de Las Victorias of AFANIAS to improve the quality of life of its students.

The project “Los patios de mi cole” is the first of many in which the IPD Foundation has taken part. As Miguel Ángel Nieves, CEO of IPD, explains: “The Foundation was born as a personal commitment from IPD... with the aim of supporting and financing different projects targeted at a specific segment: intellectual disability.”

The Foundation’s first mission has focused on supporting the “Los patios de mi cole” project at Las Victorias School in Madrid, a school for children with intellectual disabilities. IPD has contributed to the adaptation and renovation of the school’s outdoor spaces so that children can carry out daily activities.

The event was attended by representatives of the IPD Foundation (from both IPD and ProA Capital), members of the AFANIAS Board of Directors, and the school leadership, all of whom expressed their gratitude for the Foundation’s support and their willingness for future collaborations.

In the words of Hortensia García, Board Member of AFANIAS: “Play is very important for education. Through play we learn to enjoy, respect, share, manage frustration, and develop our intelligence and skills. In short, play helps us grow. With this donation, the IPD Foundation is directly contributing to our educational project, helping foster the social inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities.”
